Subject: Russian explorers
… I’m doing a school project on explorers from around the world, and I’m curious to know about Russian explorers. Who are some of the greatest explorers in Russian history? What are they famous for? Which Russian explorer do you admire the most, and why?
… I’m planning a trip to a national park soon, and I’m so excited!

Hi Leo,
Thanks for your email. I was very glad to hear from you.
I’ll willingly answer your questions. One of the greatest Russian explorers is Nikolay Przhevalsky, who travelled through Central Asia and described many unknown species of animals. Also, Semyon Dezhnev, who was a Russian explorer of Siberia and the first European to sail through the Bering Strait, 80 years before Vitus Bering did. The Russian explorer I admire the most is Ivan Krusenstern because he was the first Russian who sailed around the world.
Your trip to a national park sounds exciting! Are you going there with your friends or family? How long will your trip be? What are you most looking forward to on your trip?
Email me when you’ve got time.
Best wishes,
Anton
