Subject: Russian folk music
…I went to a folk music festival with my family yesterday, and it got me interested in traditional music from other countries. I’ve already seen pictures of some Russian musical instruments online. Which one is a symbol of Russian folk music, and why? Where can people listen to live folk music? What do you think about mixing folk music with modern genres?
I’ve started taking bagpipe lessons, and now every time I practise, my neighbours don’t seem to share my enthusiasm…
