You have 1.5 minutes to read the text silently, then be ready to read it out aloud. You will not have more than 1.5 minutes to read it.
Electricity has changed our life in many ways. We can now stay up longer and devote more time to work, studies or entertainment because we don’t depend on the daylight anymore. Still, lighting your home needs energy, and you should never forget about energy-saving measures in your household.
If you want to run an eco-friendly household, an important thing is to invest in the right light bulbs. Energy-saving light bulbs are more efficient than the old ones. They have actually been in our shops for a long time, but it has taken people much time to come round to the idea. Energy-saving light bulbs are slightly more expensive than ordinary ones but they are certainly not a waste of money. Such light bulbs use much less electricity thus cutting your electricity bill down. They also last longer, which means you don’t have to spend money replacing them. One energy-saving light bulb can substitute six ordinary ones.

Interviewer: What is your favourite food? Why do you like it so much? Can you cook it?
Student: My favourite food is sushi. I love the combination of flavours and textures, and I find it very refreshing. I can make simple rolls at home, but I prefer to have sushi made by a professional.
Interviewer: Have your food preferences changed over time? Why or why not?
Student: My food preferences have changed over time. I have discovered new cuisines and ingredients which I have grown to love. I’m also paying more attention to being healthy, so I try to choose healthier food.
Interviewer: Do you think your favourite food is healthy? Is there any unhealthy food that you like?
Student: Personally, I do think my favourite food is healthy, as it is mostly made of fish and vegetables, but I also enjoy some unhealthy food like French fries and chocolate.
Interviewer: How often do you eat your favourite food? Would you like to eat it more often?
Student: I eat sushi about twice a month, and I would like to eat it more often. I really enjoy sushi and I think it’s a healthy food choice.

what can you say about «sitting BEFORE a laptop»?
Мы оставили вариант ФИПИ без изменений. Авторство не наше. По поводу вашего вопроса: https://www.britannica.com/dictionary/eb/qa/before-opposite-across-from-and-in-front-of
