Halloween costumes are notorious for heavy makeup and face paint which may contain harmful chemicals and additives. As a result, people may have an allergic reaction to face paint.

A good solution to solve the problem is to seek medical advice if necessary (to make an appointment with a dermatologist).

The candle inside a Jack O’Lantern is the number one fire hazard as it can lead to a fire in the home.

Since paper decorations are flammable, a Jack O’Lantern with a candle inside can pose a risk.

If a fire starts, people should get out and call their local emergency phone number.

If smoke, heat or flames block exit routes, an optimal solution is to stay in the room with doors closed. It is also advisable to place a wet towel under the door and call the fire department or 9-1-1.

The world we live in is multinational and multicultural, so different countries celebrate various holidays. Currently, I am working on my project to find out how people celebrate Halloween in Zetland. As part of my project, I have found a table with some relevant data on the subject and in this essay, I am going to analyze it.

It is clear from the table that just under a third of the respondents (30%) prefer to throw or attend parties on Halloween Day. Over a tenth of Zetlanders (13%) opt for making Halloween-inspired snacks and drinks. By contrast, a relatively small proportion of those surveyed (8%) choose to hand out candies.

A more detailed examination of the data in the table reveals that decorating homes is almost as popular as carving pumpkins (25% and 24% respectively). It comes as no surprise because both ways of getting ready for this spooky holiday allow people to show their creativity and come up with original ideas to stand out in their neighbourhood.

Halloween is undeniably a controversial holiday, and one of the problems that can arise with celebrating it is different religious beliefs of the community members. Although this present-day holiday is mainly associated with entertainment, some parents are strongly against arranging Halloween parties. To solve this issue, school teachers and local authorities should take parents’ and children’s opinions into account and suggest a possibly reasonable scenario.

In conclusion, I strongly believe that keeping Halloween traditions is important for those societies where this holiday is observed because in such a way, the older generation can pass some essential national traditions to the younger one.
